About VsSimple
Clear comparisons for students, parents and teachers.
What is VsSimple?
VsSimple is a free educational resource designed to help students aged 8 to 16 understand the difference between commonly confused concepts across English, Science, Maths, Geography, and History. Every guide is written to match UK and international curriculum requirements, with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and genuine usefulness for exam preparation.
The site was built around one simple observation: students searching for the difference between two concepts deserve a clear, well-structured answer, not a wall of complicated text. Every post on VsSimple follows the same format: a quick answer, a comparison table, detailed explanations, real world examples, a memory trick, and a quiz. The goal is always to make complex concepts genuinely simple.
Who writes the guides?
Alex Morgan
Alex Morgan is a former secondary school teacher with over 12 years of classroom experience teaching English and Science at GCSE level in the UK. After leaving the classroom, Alex has spent the last decade creating structured educational resources designed to help students aged 8 to 16 understand complex concepts clearly and quickly. Every guide on VsSimple is written against official UK curriculum specifications and designed around the way students actually learn.
Specialist subjects: GCSE English Language, GCSE English Literature, KS3 and GCSE Science, KS2 and KS3 Maths.
Our Process
Every guide on VsSimple follows a consistent research and writing process. Each topic is checked against official UK curriculum specifications including KS2, KS3, and GCSE requirements from AQA, Edexcel, and OCR. Content is structured around the most common points of confusion students encounter, drawing on real classroom experience of where and why students struggle. Every guide is reviewed for factual accuracy before publishing and updated when curriculum requirements change.
Each post is cross-referenced against established educational sources including official exam board specification documents, BBC Bitesize, Oxford and Cambridge curriculum documentation, and Khan Academy resources. Where scientific or geographical content is involved, guides are checked against current GCSE Combined Science and Geography specifications to ensure accuracy.

Parents helping children with homework and teachers looking for clear explanations to share with students will also find the guides useful.
Is VsSimple free?
Yes. Every guide on VsSimple is completely free to read. There is no subscription, no registration, and no paywall. The site is supported by display advertising which allows all content to remain free for students and educators.
How often is new content added?
New comparison guides are published regularly across all five subject areas. The most frequently searched topics are prioritised, and guides are reviewed and updated when curriculum requirements change or when reader feedback identifies areas for improvement. All content is written to reflect the most current exam specifications available at the time of publication.
Accuracy and Editorial Standards

If you spot an error, a factual inaccuracy, or content that no longer reflects current curriculum requirements, please let us know immediately at contact@vssimple.com and we will review and correct it promptly.
